Upload and review art, video, audio and 3D models, and track what each part of the game needs.

2 min read

The asset library holds every file uploaded to the project: concept art, references, screenshots, videos, audio and 3D models.

Drag files onto the Assets page, or + New›Upload.

Kind Formats
Images PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, AVIF
Video MP4, WebM, MOV, Ogg
Audio MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A, WebM, FLAC, AAC
3D models GLB, glTF (self-contained), FBX (binary), OBJ (up to 500 MB)

Tag assets to find them later, and filter the library by type or tag.

Open a video and click Watch.

  • Step frame by frame with ← and → (Shift for a second). Space plays.
  • Comment on a frame. Press D to draw over it.
  • Pins on the timeline mark commented frames. [ and ] jump between them.
  • Press O for onion skin: ghosts of the frames before (red) and after (green).
  • Compare opens up to three more videos or images on top, side by side, or above and below, playing in sync.

Open a model and click View in 3D.

  • Drag to orbit, right-drag to pan, scroll to zoom. F frames the model, W shows wireframe.
  • Click a spot on the model, then comment: the comment is pinned there. Clicking a pin brings back the camera its author had.

Collect references for a look or a place: + New›Mood board, then add assets to it.

An asset list is a checklist of what one part of the game needs: a character’s animations, a level’s sprites, your Steam page’s capsules.

  1. + New›Asset list. Start blank or from a template.
  2. Add slots, like Run cycle or Header capsule 920 × 430.
  3. Drop files onto a slot to fill it. It moves to in progress. Mark it done when approved.

A slot can be linked to a task that tracks it. Save any list as a template for the next one.
