Playtests

Put a build in front of testers and keep their sessions, ratings and recordings in one place.

1 min read

A round is one build in front of testers. Each tester’s play is a session, with notes, a rating and a recording.

  1. + New›Playtest round.
  2. Fill in the version or commit, the dates, and the goals: what this round should tell you, one question per line.
  3. Add a session for each tester: who, the platform, notes, a rating, and their recording (drop a video, or pick one from the assets).

Click a session to see it in the inspector. Arrow keys step through them.

Let players take part themselves, from your community page:

  1. Turn on Open to players in the round.
  2. Write a title for players and how to get and run it (platforms, a Steam beta password, known issues).
  3. Share the player link.

Players answer each goal as a question, and can send a recording. Their sessions show up in the round, marked new until someone goes through them.
